Hualien City 

Hualien County is located on the east coast of Taiwan and is known for its stunning natural scenery. The area is home to the famous Taroko Gorge, a breathtaking canyon that offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains, waterfalls, and rivers. Visitors can explore the gorge on foot by following the trails that wind through the area, or by driving through the narrow tunnels and along the winding roads. In addition to the gorge, Hualien County has several other natural attractions, such as Qingshui Cliffs, a stunning coastal area that features towering cliffs and dramatic ocean views. The county is also home to several national parks and hiking trails, including the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area, which boasts some of the best hot springs in Taiwan. In addition to its natural attractions, Hualien County is also home to a rich indigenous culture, with several indigenous tribes living in the area and offering cultural tours and experiences for visitors. Overall, Hualien County is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and those seeking to experience Taiwan's unique culture and history.

I wasn’t too impressed with Hualien, but the county is amazing! This is Taiwan’s biggest county, which borders the Pacific Ocean to the east, and the Central Range to the west. A place of beautiful rivers, with crystal clear pools you can wade in, to its colossal stone walls of the Taroko Gorge, perhaps home to Titan’s in ages past, this county will not disappoint in natural beauty whether you are on the coast or inland. ​ 

花蓮市我沒有非常驚豔，但花蓮縣很棒。是台灣最大的縣，東到太平洋，西至中央山脈。有很美裡的河流，超清澈的湖，太魯閣裡的巨石。無論你在海岸或是內陸。這些自然美景絕對不會讓你失望

This is a nice park that you should pay a visit to. You can’t really lose out visiting parks in Taiwan.​

New Changhong Bridge 📸🚗⭐

I don't know what to do here but I LOVE THIS PLACE. It's like a small village up against a river that breaks off into the ocean. I just love photographing it and flying my drone and wandering around. It's just beautiful! I always stop here. I have seen Kayakers on occasion. Easy to find parking right by the water.​ 

長虹橋:我不知道在這裡要做甚麼，可是我超愛這裡。這裡就像一個小村落，河流從這裡流進海。我喜歡拍照，飛空拍機，四處晃晃。這裡很美。我每次都在這裡停留。我看過划獨木舟的人。很容易在河邊找到停車位。

This is a beautiful lake and up above is a temple overlooking the lake! It's really nice over there. Check it out!​

七七高地 📸🚗

This was another rando for me. I wanted to check it out and glad I did. I found some bunkers and was able to climb up one to get a very nice view of the area in 360 degrees. You can continue on another path that leads to a beach as well.​ 

這是另一個我偶然發現的地方。我想要看看，我也很高興我做了。我發現一些掩體，可以爬上去，可以360度俯瞰全景。有另一條路可以通往海灘。

Taroko National Park ❤️🏠📸🚗⭐

This is a popular destination and a must see. There are places for all skill levels. If you don’t want to hike you can drive and still see super cool things. A must for anyone! Entering the gorge, you are greeted by massive rocky walls rising towards the heavens. It makes you feel small and enclosed, but it is breathtaking!​ 

太魯閣公園: 這是一個很受歡迎的地方，你一定要來。適合每個人。如果你不喜歡健行，你可以開車看一些超酷的東西。進入峽谷，你就會看到巨大石牆，幾乎比天還高。讓我覺得很渺小，與世隔絕。絕對令人屏息。

Zhuilu Old Road

This was in Taroko National Park, I believe. This was a cool hike. It was easy, but it got some hella narrow ass paths. If you’re afraid of heights I don’t recommend it. If you want to get over your fear of heights, this might be the place. You do need a permit for this hike.​

錐麓古道: 這也在太魯閣國家公園裡。是一個很酷的健行行程。很容易，路徑很狹窄。如果你有懼高症，我不太推薦。如果你想要克服高度恐懼，那你一定要來。

Jing Pu Tropic of Cancer landmark 🏠🚗

 I stopped here because I was curious. It has a long white landmark with some shops, and you can walk down the coastal side to get some nice views. Not a place I want to hang out in, but good to make a stop if you haven’t stopped for a while or are curious.​ 

靜浦北回歸線界標: 我會停在這裡是因為我很好奇。就是一個長長的白色地標，有一些商店，你可以往下走下海岸，看一些美麗風景。 但不是一個我會想要一直待著的地方。如果你沒來過或是好奇，你可以停下來。

Shitiping ❤️🏠📸🚗

Cool rock formations. Nice to walk around and see the coast. I had a good time taking pictures here! Check it out!​ 

石梯坪: 很酷的石頭造型。走一走很不錯，也可以看海岸。我在這裡拍照拍得很開心。來吧!

石門洞（麻糬洞、March洞 ❤️🏠📸🚗

This has a little sea cave right on the coast. Cool spot for photos!​ 

這裡是小的海蝕洞，就在海岸邊。拍照很酷。

Jiqi Beach ❤️🏠🚗

I stopped at this beach a couple times to take long exposures. Never swam in the ocean here. Everytime I went it was pretty empty. There was a trail that goes up the hill at the edge of the beach, but it was always closed.​

磯崎海灘: 我在這裡停留過幾次，拍長曝光。沒有在海裡游泳過。每次我來海邊都沒人。有一個步道可以走上旁邊的山丘，就在海灘的邊緣。但總是封閉。

Niushan Scenic Area ❤️🏠🚗

I found this place because I was curious. Nice little bay, but there is an area that costs money. 50NT, I believe. It was cool, but I could have done without it. Overall, a nice place to stop to take photos.​ 

牛山風景區: 我會發現這個地方也是因為我很好奇。很棒小小的海灣，有一個地方要花50元進去，我猜啦。很酷，但我沒有付錢。總而言之，很棒的地方停下來拍照。

台開心農場 ❤️🏠

This find was cool because it had a bunch of animals. Not really my thing, but for kids and families for sure. It is beautiful though.​

這裡滿酷的，有很多動物。不是我喜歡的，但有小孩的家庭很值得來。美麗的地方。

三棧溪戲水區 ❤️🏠📸🚗⭐

Care for a dip in the pool? Yes please! Nice scenery, river to wade in. Can get crowded. I don’t have the pin, but it might be further down this road where we found some super nice clear pools of water along the river and there wasn’t a lot of people there. If you have time, maybe travel further. If you see a dilapidated building along the river on a narrow road, keep going, because that's the path!​ 

想要浸在池子裡嗎?當然，美麗的風景，河流流過，有時很擁擠。我沒有地標，但你往下走一點，就會找到。沒有很多人。如果你有時間，也許你可以走遠一點。如果你看到一個廢棄建築在一條很窄的路旁，再繼續走，因為這就是路。

Nice place to take a break from driving to see the amazing scenery, but it can get crowded.​
