CITY
I love Keelung city despite knowing next to nothing about it. I probably spent about 7 to 9 days exploring the area in total. What I like about Keelung is that most of Taiwan is like Disney Land; Cheesy, safe, cute, modern, and clean. Keelung was grimy and unkept, but still safe. Its buildings and walls told me a story. It just didn’t fit into Taiwan. I like rust and scars and tear and wear. I even saw some crazy homeless people. Not that that's good, but I’m from San Francisco, and it reminded me of home. Regardless, Keelung is one of my favorite cities just for that reason. Going into grimy ass alleyways and seeing these run-down apartments and grime. I just love it! It felt very lively, and the people were aight! It is a port city, and it does have its well-kept areas as well…;) Keelung city is not New Taipei City, but it's surrounded by it on three sides. The north side is water. Like Yilan, it can rain a lot here.
基隆市: 我愛基隆市，儘管我完全不了解這裡。我大概花了七到九天探索這裡。為什麼我喜歡基隆市因為台灣就像是迪士尼樂園，有點俗氣，安全，可愛，現代化，乾淨。基隆有點髒，沒有維持得很好但是依然安全。他的建築跟牆好像有故事。很不像台灣。我喜歡生鏽的，有疤痕，眼淚，磨損。我甚至看過一些瘋狂的流浪漢。並不是說這樣很好因為我來自舊金山，所以這讓我想起了家。無論如何，基隆還是我最愛的城市之一，就因為這樣。走進骯髒的小巷弄，看看一些破舊的建築，藏汙納垢，我就是很愛! 很生動，當地人還不錯。基隆是個海港城市，當然它還是有弄得很好的地方。基隆市不是新北市，但他被三面包圍。北方臨海。就像宜蘭，這裡也很常下雨。
This place is pretty nice. It seems to be busy. Around the plaza are bars, shops, and restaurants. It gets lit up at night and you can see KEELUNG just like seeing the HOLLYWOOD sign in Southern Cali.
海洋廣場: 這個地方相當的棒。總是很繁忙，有酒吧，商店跟餐廳。到了夜晚更有氣氛，你可以看到基隆的招牌就像看到加州的好萊塢一樣。
And this is that said landmark.
虎仔山基隆地標: 這就是我說的地標所在。
This is another iconic place where they have buildings of various colors. People love taking pictures here. What's even cooler is the place behind me where I am standing taking photos of the colorful buildings. It's along the water, in ruins with lots of graffiti. I had to hop a fence to get in, but apparently that's OK, because more people showed up later. UPDATE- JULY 2022- The ruins are now closed off. Well, they were closed off before, but now it's harder to get in.
這裡是另一個指標性的景點，建築物有不同的顏色。 大家都喜歡在這裡拍照。當我拍彩色屋時，我覺得我身後的地方更酷。在河旁邊，廢棄建築裡有很多塗鴉。我必須越過欄杆才能進去。但其實還可以。因為更多人就緊接而來的，2022六月更新:這個廢棄建築已經關閉。現在更難進去了。
This cost about 800NT. You have to go by boat and on a tour. Unlike Turtle Island, the guy didn’t care when I ditched the group. Why would he? Everything was in Mandarin. It’s a nice little spot. You can do a little walk around the base of the island to an extent. You can’t go around it. The coastline is similar to what you would see in the north. There is a shrine. Going up to the lighthouse is intense during the summer. It was super-hot, but I got up to the top in about 20 to 30 minutes. It’s not hard, just intense heat, but all uphill steps. There was little shade and the lighthouse at the top wasn’t very impressive, but the view was cool. You can also see Keelung from a unique perspective. I spent most of my time waiting for everyone else, because in under 2 hours I was pretty much done with exploring everything and we left at 9 and returned around 2pm. Once we got back on the boat we went around the small island and saw random fishermen on these little rocks fishing. It was dope, though I am not sure how they got there. My guess is they were on boats and dropped off. There was even one cool dude who was sitting on a chair with an umbrella, fishing and posted up.
基隆嶼燈塔: 登島費用800台幣。你必須搭船，跟團。不像龜山島，導遊不在乎我有沒有跟團行動。每個東西都只寫中文。這裡是一個小小，還不錯的景點。你可以徒步繞島一圈。但沒辦法繞完全島。海岸線看起來跟北海岸的很像。有一個小廟。往上走到燈塔在夏天很不容易。超級熱的。我大概用了20到30分走到頂端，不難走，但是太熱了，全部是上坡。有一點點遮蔭，但山頂的燈塔沒有太吸引我。但景色很酷。你可以用一個特別的視角看到基隆。我把大部分時間都花在等所有人。因為我大概只用了不到兩小時就做完所有我可以做的，探索每個地方。我們離開的時間是九點，回程是下午兩點。我們一回到船上就開始繞島行程。看到一些釣魚的人站在小小的石頭上。很酷，雖然我不確定他們是怎麼來這裡的。我猜他們也是搭船，然後被丟在島上。有一個坐在椅子上，用雨傘遮陽，釣魚，看起來酷斃了。
This was a nice place to stroll around and see the beautiful northern coast. Cool looking rocks, and there is a restaurant. It's all paved out so it's easy peasy fa sheezy.
和平島公園: 這也是一個很好的地方，可以散步，看看美麗的北海岸風景。很酷的石頭，有一間餐廳。步道完全都鋪好了，所以很容易走。

外木山濱海風景區－外木山濱海廊帶－附近有大武崙白沙灘
